ABOUT
North Devon Classic Car Wedding Hire was set up by the husband and wife team of Peter and Petrina Westaway. Over many years of owning and enjoying numerous classic vehicles, mainly Fords, we began to receive requests at Classic car shows which we attended, to provide unique wedding transport.
We have a four ’Old Skool’ Fords, a totally original 1974 Ford Granada Ghia in Onyx Green, it’s exterior fantastic condition combined with its smooth 3 litre engine will ensure the bride and her father will have the ultimate trip to any venue.
Our second vehicle a lightly restored, 1972 Ford Cortina GT 2 door, a very rare example of the legendary Coke bottle Cortina in Sunset Red. This car is usually suited to the groom.
Our third vehicle a 1969 Ford Capri GT,XLR also a rare car Ford ads said it was the car you always promised yourself. Our has had a small role in a movie, We have been asked by Corgi models if they can reproduce an exact replica in 1:43 scale for the Vanguard range this will be on sale late 2015. This is also a 2 door car and would suit groom and best man or a great car with our Granada for the bridesmaids as it is finished in Fern Green with satin black bonnet which indicates it is has the XLR Package on the GT spec.
Our forth is the baby of the bunch, a 1986 Ford Capri 2.0 Laser. This is a similar model to the Capr's used by Bodie and Doyle in the hit TV show "The Professionals" with it's twin headlights and rear boot spoiler. This car has been restored by myself and had an engine overhaul also, after being left in a local garden for almost nine years. She now once again turns heads and gains comments even in fuel stations. This like our Mk1 Capri will be an ideal back up car for special guest or even the groom and best man or bridesmaids.
Our cars are our pride and joy and are maintained to the highest of standards. Both cars are fully insured for wedding use and between both drivers there is over half a century of safe driving. Peter is a professional driver and has been for over 30 years and with CPC certificate. Petrina also has over 25 years behind the wheel. A discount on hire of the second and third vehicle is offered.
