Here is our 1969 Ford Capri GT with the full XLR options pack. She was used as a Ford press car shortly after its launch with the advertising slogan The car you always promised yourself, designed to be the European Mustang. Our car also played a small role in the 2010 film NEDs set in Glasgow.

Capri GT XLR

This is our Capri GT XLR. It is a GT with extra options that came from the Ford factory. they came in three packs L,X and R or you could have XL or all three like ours being the XLR. the R was racing and came with black bonnet, fron spot and fog lights. ours in addition has the rear window louvre fitted.

Our Capri is far from being shy she has had a five full page feature in Classic Ford magazine along with other Club mags, She has also been on the big screen with a small acting role in the movie NEDs set in a Glasgow school and housing estates about young gangs.

Prize winner

Our car has become a very rare sight on the streets as many of the larger engined models had been saved leaving behind the 1600 versions. Our car has been and still visits many Classic car events and has been the winner of many awards.

You dont have to be BIG.

Due to our car being rare it was spotted by a well known chap in the media who worked on For the love of cars, Top Gear, along with Corgi models. It is in this role when this car was seen they knew they just had to make a model of it. Pictured is the plan that includes the rear window louvre and spot lights but with covers on. This model will be on pre order in October 2015 and will be on general release early in 2016.
